This girl has talent! Mae is turning 18 this year and spends a lot of her free time practicing motocross. This has to be one of the most tremendous pre-debut sessions I have shot.

Time is not an issue for this nice and sweet couple. That's how i could describe the whole engagement session with Rea and Melvin, which took place at Las Casas Filipinas De Acuzar in Bataan. We were only given limited hours to accomplish their engagement session. gladly the couple delivers a perfect picture, every shot is not a waste and every shot is a moment. both are really inspiring to take a picture of, that thrills me more to cover their wedding tomorrow.

Intramuros Engagement Session | Grace + Jay

I still can remember clearly how excited Jay when he called me last February and informed that he's marrying Grace. His voice was an exact example of a real thrilled person! What makes this more special is when he told that we are to cover their engagement session (yeah!!!) The shoot was undertaken within their alma mater Mapua Institute of Technology inside the historical Intramuros, a couple’s personal request since this is where their love story started… sweet!!! :=)

After a long debate and evaluation on what prime to choose between 50 and 35 we ended up getting the Canon 35mm 1.4L.

Here’s my first click @1.4 using 5D, I simply fell in love with this lens because of its image quality even in maximum aperture, smooth bokeh and with this lovely model in the photo. :=)

Blue Gardens Wedding | Ron+Dwin

Ron + Dwin’s wedding has no word to describe except wonderful! They were such a great couple. They had their lovable and super-energetic garden wedding last February 28 in Blue Gardens, QC. This couple had a lot of lively and gorgeous friends. I really love how their secondary sponsors dance with the tune of Forever while entering to the reception. One huge highlight was the couple’s wedding vows, every word were uttered wholeheartedly which makes their guest unconsciously teary eyed of. Their love is tremendously contagious.

Modern Engagement Session | Anne+Cris

Unique, exceptional and distinctive concept is what we want to pursue. This is what Ruffa and Mike Photography aims to accomplish. We just love being part in capturing special events, weddings and e-sessions that are so different and out of the ordinary! And we’re glad that Anne + Cris is one of the couples who gave us an opportunity to make it achievable.
This couple booked us to shoot their e-Session. Location? Unplanned. haha. We find it really exciting. A quest of an extraordinary place which will surely feed our creative minds and concurrently provide us timeless pictures. So we just roam around in Macapagal avenue to look for a good vintage spot but every time we’re about to start… Uhhumm… Here he comes… The guard always prohibits us in doing our Session since we have no permit to shoot… So another journey to fulfill… We stroll again… Travel around… Until we concluded this expedition. Our eyes were caught by this spot. Our imagination was trapped by this remarkable place. Yes… This old little train…Amazed and stunned is what I felt in that moment! I just stop and said… This is… Perfect!!!

One thing I have realized.. I just love grungy places… It really makes my exquisite couple pop-up…

Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Wedding | Grace+Ian

The day was filled with lots of laughter, happy tears, and joy as Grace + Ian tie their knot in Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. These guys are wonderful couples with their own cutest baby bride we’ve ever seen - so charming and lovable! The couple wasn’t able to have their prenup with us, since both are working abroad and their only intention is to have a wedding church ceremonial here in the Philippines. But, despite of just meeting the day before their actual wedding, we get along so well. The couple prepared and stayed in Torre Venezia and held their reception in Village Patio but before the party started we headed to University of the Philippines to take advantage of its relaxing scenery and to capture few photos from this delightful family.

Thank you Grace + Ian for choosing us to capture your big day and able to booked us even though you guys were very busy there in Macau. This photo coverage was actually gives us the sense of another fulfillment, because it only shows that we were seen and appreciated even across seas.

It was the glow in the afternoon… The radiance of trees… The wonderful look of the flowers… And the scenic picture of that place... How will I prevent myself on comparing this beautiful Blue Gardens in a view of a Palace... a view of a Kingdom… a view of an Empire! As I and Ruffa were very enchanted witnessing the love of this exquisite couple…

Dwin and Ron appear as a real King and Queen during our photo session. Their dresses and props bring our concept very convincing. And I just can’t help but smile when I look at the images recorded by my camera. The spark in their eyes, the outlook of their poses and the glitter on their lips illuminates in every angle I captured taking their photograph. It really shows how love flows with this two different people. We just so amazed seeing people so in-love, as it really conveys on their photos, it mirrors how true love sees no ending. How true love sees no season. How true love bridges distance.

I Love Free-Nup Winner | Joy+Willy

The Joy of loving and the Will of lifetime togetherness.

With the outpouring support that I heart free nup photo contest received, choosing whose gonna win was really a tough moment, the suggested location and ideas were deliberated not only with its uniqueness but its possibilities. Until we all decided to give it to Joy + Will, our lucky and first I heart free nup winner. They chose an area inside the Bilibid compound (Jailhouse), which has a chapel that was believed built during Japanese Era and now abandoned. The idea was like to relieve a love that was once blooms that time. From those factors itself, pictures were already formulating on my mind. So excited about this... Then the photoshoot day came... when I got in the place, I said to myself “This is more than I expected” the place is telling a lot. Got bunch of details. The place has its, huge farm field with the chapel that is torn and wreck but the artistic of it exudes. And to add, the couple wear a Barong Tagalog and Filipiniana Dress that makes me smile and gave me a thought of the classic look meets my modern style of shooting and my idea did not fail me in our half day shoot , it was remarkable. Mentioning also that most of the pieces that Joy wear was tailored and created by her relatives (how supportive they are). The sun was set so high but that didn’t bother me to capture their love . The Joy and WILLingness of the couple is where I draw my energy, that when the day wraps I concluded it was a successful and fulfilling photoshoot…

Joy + Will really embodied what’s I heart free nup is telling, both are about to get married on April 2. 2011, A true free pre-nup indeed.

A baby is a gift not only to the parents but to the grandparents, families and close friends. Being pregnant can be one of the most wondrous and thrilling adventures a mother can ever experience and for the father, reassuring her to this first baby that they will be great parents and letting her know that he’s there to lend a hand.

We’re always amazed at the number of very patient parents waiting to find out the sex of their babies. Health is the number one thing but it’s amusing and exciting to know what the future mother is carrying.

That’s the definition I found when I wrote the word “heart” in Google. I think that’s enough reason why her parent chose it to be the name of their little baby. Heart is one of the cutest baby and also one of the fastest crawlers we’ve ever met. For sure the whole family is rejoicing right now as they celebrate Valentines and Heart’s birthday.

Modern Portraits & Fairy Tale | Sarry

It was a fairy tale. It was a perfect day. It was a day of magic and a fun-filled day. Sarry is one of our sweetest and amazing client, full-packed with her extraordinary ideas and readily-cool props. The attractive wings she brought makes our Fairy-theme photoshoot more realistic. The set of huge and prickly grass brings greatness in our photograph. We even had our indoor shots. The vintage-look of the wall, the center spot of the bathtub, and the overall view of the room overwhelmed us, this definitely shows the meticulous taste of Sarry which reflects on her choice of location. And how will I decline… This wonderful client of ours even treated us in Brothers burger… Our all time mouth-watering favorite Blues Brothers Burger concluded this very great day.

A client who delivers so much, a client who pulls so much inspiration… Lots of love for this Good-humored Fairy!!!

Newborn Photography | Baby Phyelle

I have been waiting for this cute tiny bundle and now she is here. I was so happy to finally get to meet baby Phyelle.., she was so gorgeous, charming and had the cutest lil laugh. I’m so amazed when I saw her suddenly smile while sleeping so I researched about it and found out that they called it “angelsmile”.

I loved how in love her parents to their first baby girl. I can feel the excitement to them inside and out because almost every thing that I saw in their home is for baby Phyelle. :=) Best wishes Lemque family may God bless you always.

Heightening I heart Free-nup

In few weeks from now we are about to publicly announce our very first free photo shoot winner. :=) This project is indeed, so dear to us since it’s our first endeavor to have a photo contest.., and to heighten up this activity the team decided to have a photoshoot wearing our personalized I heart free-nup shirt.

As a form of a Christmas gift, my friends Alfred, Melei and Malou… think and spare us a personalized shirt so touching :=). The shirt not only surprised Ruffa and I but helped us to better promote this project. Without a doubt, I could really feel how supportive they are on this project.

Our 6th anniversary special...

After November is December, next to 7 is 8, followed by 5 is 6 what am I trying imply with this…?? Any guess hehehehe?? Those numbers actually leads to December 8 and for this year we are on our 6 yrs of being together and getting stronger, yeheeeeeeeeeey!!! Normally we make our anniversary even extra special by going out of town to unwind, chill and of course document it by photographing the destination.., their breath taking scenery, landscapes and with the aid of our tripod some of our cheesy moments. And now as we get passed one year after a half decade, we decided to invite Jake Olaso, who’s so dear to us, to make a modern MTV style of video. The idea itself... Really thrills me! The whole session was like a combination of photography and videography. Jake got lots of stunning idea… he knows the right angle and rich with nice composition. I must say a true artist to consider and somebody to watch for. He never fails to listen on our suggestions, he never ignore our added inputs. The session became more interesting and exciting coz we both jive and blended well. The produced video also reveals how Ruffa and I work together to catch our own moments, the same thing we do whenever a client wants to do photo shoot. After watching the entire video, Jake certainly delivered what we wanted and what we’re looking for so effective and more than the expected. We were so overwhelmed with the output thanks for this Jake!!!

Calaruega and Taal Vista wedding | Joan+Gani

Witnessing a bond between a man and a woman is something that is considered a once in a lifetime event. Just like the first time, we will only have it ONCE, and just like this wedding which marks my FIRST TIME. Since this is my first endeavor to shoot a wedding proper, jitters run into my blood, I became skeptical and apprehensive, it’s like a make or break for me (sigh). Taking pictures of before wedding ceremonial was really a reflection of how the couple was so excited and affectionate. They both bloom and glow!

Joan & Gani were married in Calaruega church, one of the famous and wonderful chapel at Nasugbu, Batangas, the looks of the chapel makes the ceremonial more heartfelt and sacred. Their relatives and guests flashes their best grin with sincerity and total happiness. After the wedding ceremonial, we are all headed to Taal Vista hotel for their reception and to celebrate more of their so called UNION. The newlywed affection was too contagious as it shows with all their photos. Reception was truly awesome with lots of appetizing food, it was presented with full of garnishing and the sweets wooooah, really tickles my taste buds. It’s so irresistible that I can’t help but to take a shot. And, little did I know I wasn’t able to take my lunch hehehe. But what caught my attention was really the bluberry chesscake (our ultimate favorite – ruffa and I) and I said to myself I gotta have it, then I gave a taste of it,.. And woooowwwww it is so delicious, a taste to die for. The whole day was a fusion of laughter, happy tears, excitement and of course genuine Love. The day was so fulfilling and wraps so fast.

Hopefully and I believe that my first wedding photo coverage was a MAKE and not a break. A MAKE of another learming, a MAKE of improvement, a MAKE of being part of this most celebrated happening in once lives and a MAKE of great drive and inspiration for a more wedding photo coverage sooooooooooooon.
